What You’ll Do:
As a Behavioral Health Therapist, participate as a member of the service delivery team to provide risk assessments, crisis interventions, safety planning, coordination of care including discharge planning, brief interventions, group work and potential placement for clients. These services are provided to individuals who are in behavioral health crisis or in need of longer-term respite care and whose needs cannot be accommodated safely in the community or in a less restrictive environment. This position will be working with an IOP level of care will be part of the position for substance treatment.
Position summary:
SummitStone Health Partners, the leading Community Mental Health Center for Larimer County in Northern Colorado, is seeking innovative, clinical leaders to join our Outpatient First Step Team. Our First Step Clinic focuses on providing clients with greater access to services and provides a range of strength based brief approaches to children, adolescents, families, and adults. Services are provided via telehealth and in person, with clinicians imbedded in various teams and community partners. Our services include mental health and addictions, medication assisted treatment, DBT, CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma informed care.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working within a team, are versed in Evidence Based Treatment practices, and those seeking to grow their clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide action oriented brief therapy to clients starting services
- Provide Evidence Based treatment for a range of mental health and substance use disorders
- Provide on-going assessments, crisis intervention and case management to clients and their families
- Develop and monitor service plans, treatment progress, and maintains clinical documentation and other reporting data
- Coordinate services in a treatment team model with internal as well as external services
- Have a strong understanding of how to adapt service delivery to meet the client’s needs.
Required:
- Master’s degree in related field from accredited college or university
- 1 year of experience providing individual and group therapy
- Proficiency in using computers and telehealth systems
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), or willingness to pursue a CAS or an LAC
- Some evenings required
Preferred:
- Licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
- CAS or LAC
- experience with Trauma-Informed Care
- telehealth experience
- Bilingual/Bicultural

Total Rewards
The typical hiring range:
- Master’s Level Unlicensed: $58,011 - $69,618 annually
- Master’s Level Licensed: $66,040 - $79,217 annually
- Based on relevant years of experience.
