The AFRL Integrated Capabilities Directorate (RS), Architecture & Systems Engineering Division (RSA) is seeking to fill multiple program analyst and scientific & engineering (S&E) vacancies in the Architecture Analysis Branch (RSAE) and Architecture Design Branch (RSAD) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH and Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.
These exciting interdisciplinary opportunities are to be filled at the DR/DO-02, 03, and 04 grade levels (GS-12 through 14 equivalent) and will provide technical expertise and direct system engineering (ASE) division program activities, schedule, communication, coordination, and battle rhythm in support of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) architecture.
Candidates selected from this recruitment effort will support 1 of 5 Mission Integration Teams (MITs): Air, Maritime, Land, Homeland Air Defense, or Cross Cutting.
The DAF C3BM MIT Process receives operational and functional requirements from the Operational Community and conducts a(an):
1. Operational Analysis to translate operational and functional requirements into technical requirements.
2. Architecture Definition to design the capability’s architecture while ensuring integration/interoperability with the broader DAF C3BM enterprise architecture.
3. Risk assessment of the capability, and if risk needs to be mitigated, the MIT works with the Science & Technology Community to address.
4. Execution management strategy providing the capability’s requirements to the Acquisition Community.
5. Test and Evaluation Strategy with the Acquisition Community to work with the Test and Evaluation Community for exercise and experimentation activities before delivery to the Operational Community.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience related to the position at the next lower grade. For DR-02 consideration, applicants must have a minimum of GS-11 equivalent experience. For DR-03 consideration, applicants must have a minimum of GS-13 equivalent experience. For DR-04 consideration, applicants must have a minimum of GS-14 equivalent experience.
- This is an interdisciplinary position. Applicants must be able to meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards of the occupational series assigned when the position is filled. Desired Qualifications
- Experience related to or supporting science and technology, research and development, test and evaluation, enterprise architecture and/or program management is highly desired.
- Experience distilling strategic and/or leadership guidance into actionable plans in support of program objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience integrating different systems and integrating existing technology.
- Seeking candidates with past experience in systems to systems modeling and architecture .
- Past positions with 0132 Intelligence Analyst experience or exposure to PACAF or INDOPACOM theater or past collaboration with the National Reconnaissance Office should also be highlighted in a candidate's experience.
