A successful candidate will demonstrate superior design skills, creativity, and a passion for continued learning and professional growth. They must be creative, organized, detail-oriented, efficient, adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities, and able to work collaboratively and confidently. They will work as an independent contractor and should be proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) specifically VectorWorks for Mac. The applicant will work from home and must live within a reasonable distance of Carbondale, Colorado in order to conduct site surveys, meet with clients, contractors, and installers, and collaborate on designs.
Skills Required
- BLA from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
- 5 years of professional experience
- Proficiency with CAD, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Working knowledge of SketchUp
- Excellent hand graphics
- General understanding of plant material selection and use
- Ability to complete CAD drawings in accordance with office standards
- Construction document and detailing experience preferred
- Strong oral, written, and graphic communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to self-edit work and command a high level of accuracy
