SUMMARY

An ideal candidate will be interested in working with the populations described and open to ongoing training, development, and interdisciplinary consultation. They will approach communication and collaboration with flexibility and curiosity. The candidate will embrace values that support individual differences and evidence-based practices informed by research. Additionally, they will be comfortable with rapid change, navigating communication, and engaging in a primarily remote setting. This is an hourly, 1099 contractor position. The goal is to build your caseload to a minimum of 16 billable hours per week, with a rolling average of 26 billable hours per week over 90 days once paneling is complete.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, clinical mental health, career counseling, or social work, including a clinical counseling internship, or a related field.
  • Provisionally licensed or fully licensed in Colorado to provide Behavioral Health Medicine as a professional counselor or social worker.
  • One year of professional experience in a direct support role (e.g., human services, education, behavioral health, public health, vocational rehabilitation) involving one-to-one coaching, training, or counseling of diverse adult populations.

Preferred

  • Fully licensed in Colorado to provide clinical behavioral and mental health counseling e.g., professional counselor, advanced generalist social worker, or clinical social worker.
  • Experience with Medicaid populations or willingness to gain this experience.
  • One to three years of experience providing one-to-one counseling in a telehealth setting.
  • Experience applying models of psychosocial development, medical aspects of disability, and career development while working with adults navigating career changes, transitions and sustainability related to disabilities, life changes, or impairments.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain a minimum weekly average of 16 billable client hours.
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation promptly per company policy.
  • Provide telehealth services compliant with confidentiality and privacy requirements.
  • Have access to a secure, private workspace for telehealth sessions, including reliable internet and a computer with a camera and microphone.
  • Maintain periodic mandatory remote company meetings and training sessions related to compliance.
  • Publish and monitor a consistent work schedule for client and administrative appointments.

DUTIES

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to adults working, seeking to return to work, or transitioning while navigating WorkLife wellness with chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and regularly review treatment goals, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Support clients in managing complex dynamics and conflicts affecting their relationships and WorkLife journey.
  • Educate clients on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and healthy behaviors.
  • Offer guidance on community resources and support networks.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations in the counseling profession.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, psychologists) as needed for comprehensive care.
  • Stay current in the counseling field through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development.
  • Engage in self-care to prevent burnout and maintain well-being.
  • Utilize culturally sensitive communication strategies to support clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Participate in required supervision or mentorship, adhering to licensing and WorkLife Wellness policies.
