Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the environmental industry, based in FORT COLLINS, Colorado, seeking a Staff Accountant for a long-term contract. In this critical role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including the timely and accurate billing and collection of all receivables.
• Perform Bank Reconciliations regularly to ensure financial records are accurate.
• Maintain the General Ledger, including the preparation of journal entries.
• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and financial management.
• Conduct Expense Analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Handle billing activities to ensure all invoices are issued and paid in a timely manner.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
• Experience using QuickBooks software
• Strong skills in Expense Analysis
• Experience in Billing procedures
• Proven track record in Vendor Management
• A passion for and understanding of the environmental industry
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
