The position requires the individual demonstrate the ability to grow sales via the telephone while consistently improving the quality and performance of assigned customers. Multi-tasking and familiarity with computer catalogs and order processing a must.
Responsibilities
As an Inside Sales Parts Expert you will be responsible for the retail, commercial and industrial sales of products
Provide elite customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficiently processing of their ordersGreet and receives customers in a welcoming mannerListen, exhibit energy and project a genuine willingness to assist
Effectively communicate with technicians and retail customer to ensure correct part is ordered
Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers face-to-face
Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly
Follow-up on customer orders and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction
Communicate often and timely with customer and associates
Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc
Maintain familiarity with all inventory products and merchandising programs and ordering systems
Data entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering of customer orders, branch transfers, obtain quotation information, inventory information, pricing
Assist in maintaining acceptable appearance and safety of facility, straightening, cleaning counter area and retail zone
Bi-Lingual is a plus! Many of our customers in the Construction market prefer to speak Spanish and we try to accommodate them.
* Ability to lift heavy objects (most product between 10lbs to 50lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs, equipment provided). Although the position is for Inside Sales/Customer service, we sometimes assist customers in loading will-calls, or rotate an employee to take out a hot rush delivery that would require lifting. Re-stocking of our showroom also requires some lifting. We also like to cross train our employees in other areas, so learning warehousing and our Tool Repair would be part of the training curriculum.
